On Raven’s Wings is only around thirty-three pages on Kindle, so it is a quick read.
Given that it’s a novelette, I’m going to keep my review short.
On Raven’s Wings, the first in a novelette series, is about a young girl named Mary Joseph. After going to Catholic school all her life, Mary is forced to attend public school after her parents find themselves dealing with financial problems.
At her public school, Mary is constantly picked on – they famously nickname her Virgin Mary. Hoping to change her image, she joins a rock band and takes on the stage name Raven. After their first live show, Mary’s life changes forever.
The scene backstage after the concert might’ve moved a bit fast between Ian and Mary, but after their first encounter is later explained, I can see why things happened the way that they did.
On Raven’s Wings is definitely different from what I’d expect from this author (I loved her books under her other pseudonym, Megg Jensen), but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I did enjoy this novelette, and I’m eager to see how the story continues with the next installment.
If you’re looking for a quick read, why not check out On Raven’s Wings? Heck, it’s only $0.99 on Amazon.
One final note: this series is meant for more of a New Adult crowd.
